Hawaii means Golf…

Sure you can lie out in the sun…you can snorkel and dive in the crystal blue waters...you can listen to the melodic strumming of a ukulele off in the distance. Or you face the challenge of playing golf on Hawaii 's legendary King's Golf Trail

The Kings' Golf Trail -- a golf experience unique to Hawaii . Many have come, but only those with a true sense of fun and adventure will finish. And players who complete all six courses receive a special Certificate of Achievement noting their conquest of The Kings' Golf Trail.

Close your eyes and just picture yourself on the following links:

Mauna Kea Golf Course (TOLL FREE (866) 774-6236 ) Offering dramatic elevation changes, Mauna Kea Golf Course is one of Hawaii's most unique golf challenges, while offering beautiful panoramic views from nearly every golf hole.. The course presents dramatic changes in elevation, large undulating greens, 120 bunkers and panoramic vistas of land and sea. One of the most spectacular features is the famous Third Hole, where surging inlet water races to meet the rocky shoreline, affording one of the most breathtaking views in golf today. Golfers the world over flock to this perennial legend to challenge their skills.

Hapuna Golf Course (TOLL FREE (866) 774-6236) An environmentally sensitive links-style golf course. Hapuna Golf Course offers the golfer the ultimate challenge plus the beauty of the breathtaking Kohala Coast . Sweeping panoramas set in a links-style championship course against the backdrop of three of the five volcanoes that formed Hawaii 's Big Island , majestic Mauna Kea , Mauna Loa and the Kohala mountains.

Mauna Lani North Golf Course (Tel: (808) 885-6655) Rolling fairways, challenging golf, play/practice green, driving range and solar-powered carts. “Kalahuipuaa”, as the area is known, has always been considered sacred land by the Hawaiian people. Characterized by its rolling terrain and groves of mesquite trees, the North Course was built on jet-black lava adjacent to a 230-acre protected archaeological district.

Mauna Lani South Golf Course (Tel: (808) 885-6655) Rolling fairways, mesquite groves, challenging golf, play/practice green and driving range. Add several restaurants and solar-powered carts and it's no wonder the Mauna Lani is a “Golf Magazine Gold Medal Award” winner. The South Course is unique in that it sits on a rugged, prehistoric a'a lava flow. The South Course was carved out of this rough, sharp rock, and great pains were taken creating a course that keeps the ball on the green and off the hard lava.

Waikoloa King's Course (TOLL FREE (877) WAI-KOLO ext. A) Par-72, Scottish links-style course, offers a double green, drivable Par 4s and large pot bunkers. Features numerous pot bunkers, undulating fairways, multiple tee placements and lava outcroppings. Seven thousand yards, nine acres of water, 83 traps and ancient lava flows weave together a rigorous challenge. You gotta earn this one.

Waikoloa Beach Course (TOLL FREE (877) WAI-KOLO ext. A) Par-70 Robert Trent Jones Jr. resort course. Beautiful scenery and cool breezes. Exciting elevation changes and dramatic ocean holes. An amazing balance of lush greenery and volcanic lava. Originally built in 1981, the Waikoloa sits seamlessly among the lava flows along Anaehoomalu Bay . Well manicured greens interspersed with several white sand bunkers and a number of strategically placed water features.
